After the discovery of natural sponge beds in the early 1900s, Greek sponge divers arrived in Tarpon Springs, a community at the northern end of the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Palm HArbor  area. The main attraction of Tarpon Springs then became its famous Sponge Docks, which are set along the Anclote River. The Greek heritage is still strong here—if you’re even remotely of Hellas heritage, you’ll probably discover a cousin or two in this town.

Dodecanese Boulevard, which follows the riverfront, is lined with gift shops that carry everything from souvenirs to home goods, natural sponges to olive oil soap. Wander a few blocks south and you’ll find several antiques shops on downtown’s Tarpon Avenue. Authentic Greek restaurants—including Mama's Greek CuisineHellas and Mykonos—smell too good to resist. Stop in for a honey-infused pastry and strong coffee or a hearty dinner.

At the Tarpon Springs Aquarium, pet the baby sharks and stingrays and learn about the sea life of the nearby Gulf of Mexico. And make sure to visit St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, an ornate, historic building off Pinellas Avenue.

I also appreciate the energy and prosperity they bring to my work as a Realtor. The Tampa real estate market is good, very good! By the end of the first quarter of 2016, I had already closed almost $3 million in sales.

So… Who are these buyers?

Buyer #1: First, let’s look at a semi-retired military person who just got a job at MacDill Air Force Base and moved his family from Georgia. They were looking to enjoy life in the Sunshine State. Good schools were a top priority for his family. With a budget of up to $600,000, they stressed a desire for a family oriented neighborhood. They determined that the Palm Harbor had everything they were looking for in a community while still being close enough to the base for an easy commute. Luckily, the times are changing and my real estate clients have something new. This website is state-of-the-art with a direct MLS data feed. There are many tools for buyers and sellers alike. Take a look at some of the features I have to offer you:
